Štrigova Cultural Center
One of the traditional events that has been organized in Štrigova for many years is the Carnival in Štrigova.
Every year, on the Sunday before the carnival, Štrigova becomes filled with laughter, excellent masks and the smell of doughnuts.
A parade of masquerades is waiting for you, which starts from the center of Štrigova towards the Štrigova Cultural Centre, led by the already well-known band „Muzikaši seh vetrov“. After the parade, we gather in the hall of the Cultural Center where all the masks will once again parade around the stage and introduce themselves to the visitors. After that, it’s time for the traditional carnival chronicles, where we will accuse and set fire to „Fašnik“. Next comes the handing out of donuts, and Folklore Society St. Jerome will treat everyone present with hot drinks.
The highlight of the event follows, which is the program in the upper hall of the Cultural Center, where numerous guests will perform together with Folklore Society St. Jerome.
