The Advent period in Štrigova is filled with a handful of events. Every Advent Saturday, candles are lit in front of the Štrigova Cultural Center, followed by socializing with tea and mulled wine. Also, a Christmas fair is organized every Saturday, in which associations and family farms participate. Concerts are organized in the Cultural Center and the Church of St. Mary Magdalene. The gifting of children born in the current year is held, as well as the gifting on the occasion of St. Nicholas and Christmas.
